ADVISORY: Democrats’ Press Tour Comes to Raleigh

RALEIGH – North Carolina House Democrats are hosting a press conference in Raleigh as part of their multi-stop health care press tour. Expanding Medicaid is a top priority for North Carolina Democrats, which would extend affordable health care to over half a million North Carolinians. Access to affordable health care is more important than ever, but Republicans have shown zero interest in addressing the challenges facing our communities. Democratic representatives and community leaders will discuss how our economy, schools, and community would be better off with Medicaid expansion.

North Carolinians rejected the GOP’s toxic agenda in 2018 when Democrats broke the Republican supermajority, and they are poised to flip the General Assembly this year. Republicans have resorted to fearmongering and scare tactics to distract from their disastrous record, and they have nothing to offer except more obstructionism.

This event will be held in compliance with the Governor’s Executive Order. Masks and social distance will be required.
