Following Ivanka Trump’s campaign event in Charlotte today, NCDP Executive Director Meredith Cuomo released the following statement:
“With high unemployment and hundreds of thousands who have lost health insurance in recent months, North Carolinians are living every day through the consequences of Donald Trump’s mismanagement of the coronavirus pandemic. For Ivanka Trump to try to pat herself and her father on the back while people across our state continue to suffer shows exactly how out-of-touch the Trumps are. North Carolina families are less safe because of this administration’s incompetence and deception, and today’s visit does nothing to change that reality.”
