Today, Congressman Ted Budd voted against the passage of the America COMPETES Act, making clear that he stands with China over North Carolina workers.  

“With his vote today, Ted Budd has sent a message to North Carolina workers and businesses that he is willing to side with China over supporting jobs and innovation,” said NCDP spokesperson Kate Frauenfelder. “North Carolinians deserve a U.S. Senator that will defend the hard-working people across our state – not allow countries like China to stifle American competitiveness.”

The America COMPETES Act would strengthen supply chains, hold China accountable, and ensure North Carolina workers, farmers, and manufacturers have the necessary tools to compete in the global economy.
