Republicans In Congress Continue Threatening North Carolinians’ Health Care

The North Carolina Democratic Party issued the following statement after estimates from the Congressional Budget Office projected nearly 14 million Americans losing their health care if the Republican budget and other proposals were to be adopted.

“DC Republicans plans could raise health care costs for all North Carolinians and rip away coverage from nearly 14 million Americans. Medicaid isn’t negotiable for the millions of our neighbors who rely on it to go to the doctor or the rural hospitals that depend on its funding,” said NCDP Chair Anderson Clayton “Unfortunately, instead of figuring out how to lower costs for working families, the squabble in Congress is over just how drastic the cuts to Medicaid should be all so they can slash taxes for billionaires like Elon Musk.”
