North Carolina Democratic Party Chairman Wayne Goodwin released the following statement ahead of today’s vote-a-rama, a stunt by Senate Republicans that will delay the vote on a COVID relief package.

“Senate Republicans are standing in the way of badly-needed coronavirus relief for North Carolina. Over 780,000 North Carolinians have contracted COVID-19 and over 10,000 have died. This is no time for political games or stunts, especially when direct relief, enhanced unemployment, small business support, housing assistance, and funding for vaccines, testing, and schools is on the line. Any Republican who stands in the way is voting against the best interests of North Carolinians.”
