North Carolina Democratic Party spokesperson Kate Frauenfelder issued the following statement: 

“Tonight’s GOP Senate primary debate was more of what we have come to expect from this field of candidates: nasty infighting and no real solutions. From Ted Budd dodging every debate to Pat McCrory and Mark Walker’s desperate attacks, North Carolina voters are watching this primary devolve and no matter which damaged candidate emerges from the primary North Carolinians are going to reject their failed agenda.”
