After spending much of the three months after the primary hiding from voters and refusing to speak to the press, Congressman Budd shocked reporters by holding a news conference in Raleigh – but it didn’t go as planned.
WRAL called it “unusual” for Congressman Budd to answer questions from the media, cited protestors “outside Budd’s event with posters questioning his record” on supporting law enforcement and fact checked his record by “ticking off a series of congressional votes against bills” that “would have put billions toward law enforcement.”
