There’s only one thing scarier this Halloween than ghosts, goblins, and ghouls: Congressman Ted Budd in the U.S. Senate. Congressman Budd wants to go to Washington to fight for his wealthy corporate backers, while they treat him to jack-o-lanterns of campaign cash and even more all-expense paid trips.
Unfortunately for North Carolina families, all they’ll get are Budd’s tricks–higher gas prices, paying more for prescription drugs, and big banks ripping them off.
“Congressman Budd’s extreme agenda is a monster mash of bad policies. From letting Big Pharma charge hundreds of dollars for life-saving medication to allowing Big Oil to jack up gas prices and then report record profits, Budd’s agenda is downright scary for North Carolinians,” said NCDP spokesperson Kate Frauenfelder.

His corporate special interests’ treats:
- Tens of thousands of dollars from Big Pharma, including thousands of dollars the same day he voted against lowering the cost of prescription drugs.
- A corporate PAC check from Big Oil just a day before voting to let them continue to gouge prices at the pump.
- Boatloads of cash from the Big Banks to thank him for helping them pad their bottom lines.
- All expense paid trips to Oslo and Miami, funded by Budd’s corporate-backed dark money allies.
