Statement on Donald Trump Jr.’s Visit to Hendersonville Next Week

Raleigh – Following reports that Donald Trump Jr. will appear at a campaign rally in Hendersonville, N.C. next week, NCDP Communications Director Austin Cook released the following statement:

“If the Trump administration was as concerned about North Carolina’s battle with COVID-19 as it was with winning North Carolina’s electoral votes, I’m sure our state’s case total would be much lower right now. Instead of real solutions to the health and economic crisis our families are facing, attendees at Don Jr.’s event in Hendersonville will  hear more of the same divisive, hateful rhetoric he and his father are known for. Working North Carolinians don’t need another Trump family photo op — they need leadership in the White House.”
