Today, Mike Pence is in North Carolina for the NC GOP’s “Faith and Values Summit” in support of Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ted Budd. North Carolina Democratic Party Spokesperson Ellie Dougherty released the following statement:

“Ted Budd and North Carolina Republicans are rolling out the red carpet for Mike Pence’s MAGA agenda. Despite Pence’s best efforts to distance himself from Donald Trump, he can’t change his years-long record of standing shoulder to shoulder with the defeated, former president. To this day, Pence remains a proud champion of Trump’s extreme MAGA agenda, waging an unrelenting war on abortion access, and gifting huge tax giveaways for billionaires and big corporations at the expense of middle class families. North Carolinians will see right through this extreme MAGA agenda that Pence, Budd and North Carolina Republicans are trying to push on our state.”
