VIDEO/PHOTOS: Ahead Of Trump Visit, Anderson Clayton Rallies North Carolinians As Trump & Whatley Send Health Care Costs Soaring

Today, at a rally ahead of Donald Trump’s visit to Rocky Mount, NCDP Chair Anderson Clayton slammed Trump and DC insider Michael Whatley for driving up the cost of health care for families across North Carolina.

Whatley called it a “huge win” when Medicaid was ripped from hundreds of thousands of North Carolinians. Now, he’s siding with DC Republicans who refuse to extend the ACA tax credits and fix the health care crisis they created.

“Michael Whatley supports gutting Medicaid for hundreds of thousands of North Carolinians […] He supports the Republicans refusing to extend the ACA tax credits in DC, making health care less affordable for people across this state. And tonight, Michael Whatley is welcoming those same DC politicians that people across North Carolina, to me, seem pretty fed up from, inviting them back to our state with open arms, rubbing it in the face of families who can no longer afford their health care,” said NCDP Chair Anderson Clayton. “Look, no matter what Donald Trump says tonight, remember that he and Michael Whatley are attacking our health care, making it unaffordable, and Whatley will continue to champion that agenda in the United States Senate.”
