Thanks To Trump, Gas Prices Are Up More Than 20% In The Last Month In North Carolina

According to data released by AAA, gas prices in North Carolina have increased by more than 20% over the last month while the price of diesel has shot up 37% in that same period. President Trump campaigned on “getting gasoline below $2 a gallon”, a target that has been massively missed.

“The only constant since Trump took back the White House is that he has done nothing to address the affordability crisis hurting millions of American families. As he finds billions to strike foreign countries, enrich himself and his allies, and deliver yet another tax break for billionaires, the middle-class is being left behind,” said NCDP Chair Anderson Clayton. “Gas prices are just one of the many costs that have shot up under this administration. Working families deserve better than an administration that stumbles into conflict and leaves them paying the price every time they fill up their car.”
