Here’s a reminder that DC insider Michael Whatley is completely out of touch with North Carolina families and has repeatedly claimed inflation is “way down” and “costs are coming down.”

The truth is that prices have spiked 2.4% from last year. Inflation also rose more quickly than expected this past December and continued to increase in January.

“As prices skyrocket across the board for North Carolina’s working families, DC insider Michael Whatley has claimed over and over that costs are down,” said Mallory Payne, senior communications advisor for the North Carolina Democratic Party. “Whatley’s tone deaf comments couldn’t be more out of touch with North Carolina families.”
