Last night, DC insider Michael Whatley had time to travel to Chicago to cozy up to convicted felon Rod Blagojevich for campaign cash, yet he has spent the last 10 days dodging questions from reporters after he was exposed for knowingly “championing the rise to power” of convicted child sex predator Harvey Lee West. 

Whatley has been asked by reporters three times to explain why he elevated a convicted child sex predator, and he has refused every time. 

Charlotte Observer: “A spokesman for Whatley’s campaign didn’t answer questions from an Observer reporter about West”

Daily Beast: “The Daily Beast emailed Whatley and the White House seeking comment but did not receive a reply.”

Asheville Watchdog: “I sought comment from Whatley and his campaign spokesman about his support of West by email and text but received no response.”

Now, Whatley is spending his time palling around at a Chicago fundraiser with a convicted felon rather than answering questions North Carolinians deserve to know.
