Valentines Day, Vote Early, Get Organized
Here’s what were covering this week!👇
Valentine’s Day
Roses are red, violets are blue, we’re crushing on leaders who fight for you.
This Valentine’s Day, we’re spreading the love to the leaders who work every day to make North Carolina a more fair and just state for everyone. We’re celebrating champions like Roy Cooper, Justice Anita Earls, Josh Stein, Jeff Jackson, and so many more who understand that public service is a love letter to the community.
While we’re spreading the love across the state, we are swiping a hard left on Michael Whatley. Let’s be honest: he’s just not that into us. Whatley only seems to have eyes for Special Interests and his own bank account. When someone shows you their heart belongs to the highest bidder rather than the hardworking people of North Carolina, it’s time to say, “It’s not us, it’s definitely you.”
So this year, let’s skip the heartbreak and support the leaders who love North Carolina as much as we do!
Vote Early
Y’all, early voting is happening NOW!
There is nothing quite like the feeling of walking out of the polls with that sticker on your shirt, knowing you’ve done your part to protect our future. Early voting is our chance to beat the rush, skip the long lines, and make sure nothing stands in the way of our voices being heard.
When we vote early, we show up for our teachers, our students, and our neighbors. It’s about taking care of business so we can spend the rest of the month helping others do the same. Here is everything you need to know to head to the polls!

Get Organized:
Big change doesn’t start in a war room. It starts in a living room—right in YOUR neighborhood. You don’t need a stage or a microphone to lead the way; you just need a heart for your community and a willingness to reach out to your neighbors.
Every conversation has the power to create a new volunteer, a new voter, or a new leader. That’s how we win in 2026, and that’s how we build a better North Carolina. If you care about our schools, our rights, and our future, you don’t have to wait for someone else to fix it. YOU are that someone.
How YOU can lead the way:
You can start small by reaching out to five neighbors this week to make sure they have a plan to vote, or you can step up as the expert for your block by using our site to see exactly what’s happening in your specific precinct. Whether you’re building the team by inviting a friend to join you or simply staying connected to keep your circle informed on key dates, every action counts.
We’ve made it easier than ever to get started. Think of this as your one-stop shop to get your community organized.

Celebrating Black History:
History is our biggest teacher, as we looks back at how far African-Americans have come and as we celebrate the past, present and future achievements of Black Americans this month and 365 days a year we recognize one thing: that despite these challenges and attacks their resilience remains.
This administration can try to tear down or take away voting rights but together we are united and will stand up against all of their efforts.
To celebrate Black History Month, we invite you to join NC Democrats at the Historic Goodwin House in Raleigh on Feb. 19 at 6pm. We’ll be joined by special guests Congresswoman Valerie Foushee and the Honorable G. K. Butterfield. Sign up at ncdp.org/bhm.
That’s a wrap for this week’s messaging!
