Statement on Donald Trump’s Visit to NC on Monday

Raleigh – Following news that Donald Trump will travel to Henderson County, North Carolina on Monday to visit a local farm, NCDP Communications Director Austin Cook released the following statement:

“From his disastrous trade wars to his attacks on the Affordable Care Act and his chaotic handling of the pandemic, Donald Trump has thrown North Carolina’s families and rural communities under the bus. Our state’s unemployment rate is rising once again as we approach 2,500 COVID-19 deaths while Trump cuts unemployment benefits and has failed to pass new legislation to provide federal relief. He can’t spin that devastating reality with another photo op — this November, North Carolinians will hold Trump accountable for his broken promises, put his failed presidency to an end, and send Joe Biden to the White House.”
