Congressman Ted Budd is doubling down on his dangerous agenda stripping away women’s rights to make their own medical decisions even as it’s clearly out of step with North Carolina voters and even a growing concern of GOP consultants ahead of the midterms.

SHOT: Congressman Ted Budd co-sponsored legislation that would ban abortion across the country, showing North Carolina voters he would take away their reproductive freedom if elected to the U.S. Senate. 

CHASER: In a memo yesterday, North Carolina Republican consultant issued a warning to GOP candidates going too far on abortion, arguing that “voters are ready to punish the party for restricting access to abortion.”  North Carolina swing voters in an Axios Raleigh focus group reinforced that idea as “protecting abortion rights was the top issue” for those participating.
