NCDP Ninth Congressional District Executive Committee Adopts Resolution in Support of Full Investigation in NC-09

Raleigh – This weekend, the Ninth Congressional District Executive Committee of the North Carolina Democratic Party unanimously passed a resolution to support a full investigation into Republican election fraud efforts in NC-09 and a new election if those actions were shown to taint the election. Read the full resolution online here or below.

“Every North Carolina voter, especially those in the Ninth District, deserves the truth about what happened in the 2018 election,” NCDP 9th Congressional District Chair Cynthia L. Wallace said.  “A thorough and transparent process will let rural voters like those in Bladen County know that their voices will no longer be silenced. North Carolina Democrats stand with people across the state in support of a full, public investigation and, when necessary, a new election to ensure that every voter’s voice is heard.”

“Mark Harris and the Republican Party are actively obstructing an investigation in a desperate attempt to steal this election,” NCDP Chairman Wayne Goodwin said. “We need to get to the bottom of what happened here to restore confidence in our elections and ensure that nothing like this happens again in the future.”

Full resolution begins here:
