Don Brown is touting the endorsement of election denier Sidney Powell, Trump’s ex-lawyer who spearheaded efforts to overturn the 2020 election despite no evidence of widespread voter fraud. 

Brown has put election conspiracies at the forefront of his campaign. He has “tout[ed] his experience defending people” charged with crimes for the January 6th insurrection and “[stood] by Trump’s Big Lie that the 2020 election was rigged.” 

“Embracing conspiracies and disgraced election denier Sidney Powell, Don Brown couldn’t be more out of touch with North Carolina families,” said Mallory Payne, senior communications advisor at the North Carolina Democratic Party.
