Whatley is jetting off to Texas to cozy up to DC Insiders and fellow lobbyists – yet he still hasn’t found time to answer reporter’s questions about “championing the rise to power” of convicted child sex offender Harvey West. 

To date, Whatley has been asked by reporters three times to explain why he elevated a convicted child sex predator, and he has refused every time. 

Charlotte Observer: “A spokesman for Whatley’s campaign didn’t answer questions from an Observer reporter about West”

Daily Beast: “The Daily Beast emailed Whatley and the White House seeking comment but did not receive a reply.”

Asheville Watchdog: “I sought comment from Whatley and his campaign spokesman about his support of West by email and text but received no response.”

Clearly, Whatley prefers palling around with convicted felons, child predators, DC insiders, and lobbyists rather than answering questions North Carolinians deserve to know.
