GOP Senate candidate Don Brown is pulling no punches about the lack of energy around DC insider and political hack Michael Whatley’s candidacy, saying this week: “I’m 1,000% confident we’re going to take him out.”

- “You can’t ram candidates down the people’s throat,” Brown said of Whatley, who is also a Republican. “The institutional press call him the front runner. They also called Jeb Bush the front runner (in 2016). I’m 1,000% confident we’re going to take him out.”
- “We’ve been in this thing a long time, longer than Whatley,” Brown said. “The Republican party is split on Whatley. We’ve got a fight on our hands, and we’ve got a country we’ve got to save. Republicans don’t want Whatley rammed down their throat. The party worshipers do. Grassroots want a change. This is going to be an interesting, interesting race.”
