Vote Early, Vote For The Future, and The Truth Behind the Titles

Here’s what we’re covering this week!👇

Vote Early Y’all:

Early voting is open now through Saturday, October 31st at 3pm, and y’all, this is the moment to make your voice heard.

If you missed the October 9th registration deadline, you’re not out of the game. You can still register and vote on the same day during early voting. Just know that you can’t wait till Election Day, so early voting is your window.

When you cast that ballot, bring someone with you. A friend, a family member, a coworker, that neighbor who keeps saying they’ll get around to it. Voting is better together, and a ride to the polls might be the push they need. You can only vote anywhere in your county.

Head to ncdp.org/candidates to see your candidates and make your plan to vote.

Voting For The Future:

Last week, students from NC A&T and UNC Greensboro marched to the polls together, and sent a message Republicans can’t ignore.

Republicans now control the State Board of Elections, and they used that power to make voting harder for young people. They cut campus polling sites. They pushed students farther from the ballot box. They made it clear that they are afraid of the next generation.

Young voters aren’t waiting to inherit the future. They’re out here taking it. The response to this march shows just how many are ready to follow their lead.

Republicans put distance between students and the polls, and students walked every single step of it. As we carry on this movement, students across the state should check their polling place, because it may have changed. Visit ncdp.org/campusvoting to find yours.

The Truth Behind The Titles:

Y’all, this is our last chance to remind voters to vote AGAINST all three constitutional amendments on their ballots. The titles may sound good, but these amendments weren’t built for working families. They were built for Republicans’ biggest donors.

Let’s break them down one more time.

State Income Tax Cap: Locks in a permanent tax cap preventing the wealthy from paying their fair share. Leaving working families covering the lost revenue through higher sales taxes.

Property Tax Levy: Built for big corporate land owners like Duke Energy. Giving them permanent tax breaks worth millions. You’ll save $7 a year and local governments will lose money for schools and services.

Required Voter ID: THIS IS ALREADY LAW. This amendment just makes it harder for military members, the elderly, and our students, to vote.

Republicans want these amendments to pass so they can line their pockets and cling to power. Don’t let them. Vote AGAINST all three.

That’s a wrap for this week’s messaging!

Now it’s your turn! Download the graphics below, copy our captions, and get the message out! Whether you’re lighting up the group chat or sharing it on your timeline, your voice is what actually moves the needle!

See y’all on the internet!
