In new reporting from WRAL, convicted child sex offender Harvey West confirms that DC insider Michael Whatley appointed him to leadership roles. Whatley didn’t dispute it and once again refused to answer reporter questions.
WRAL: “West also served on the party’s Plan of Organization Committee. West said Whatley did appoint him to that role. Now we let Whatley’s campaign know about West’s claim, and asked if it was true. They declined to comment.
“We also reached out to the North Carolina Republican Party…The party did not dispute West’s claim that Whatley appointed him to that Plan of Organization Committee.”
For the last 17 days, Whatley has been under fire for knowingly “championing the rise to power” of a child predator and dodging reporter questions about it.
