On the anniversary of the death of George Floyd, NCDP Chair Bobbie Richardson released the following statement: 

“One year after the tragic death of George Floyd, we are painfully reminded that many of us in North Carolina and across the country are still hurting. The reality is that structural racism continues to have devastating and deadly impacts on people of color. We must work to make meaningful change — that starts with passing the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act.”
