NCDP Statement on National Days of Prayer and Remembrance to Honor Victims of 9/11

North Carolina Democratic Party (NCDP) Chair Bobbie Richardson released the following statement on the National Days of Prayer and Remembrance (September 10 – 12), which President Biden proclaimed as designated time to honor and remember the victims of September 11, 2001:

“Twenty years ago, 2,977 innocent lives were stolen from our country during the most horrific and cruel terrorist act ever endured on American soil. The events of September 11, 2001 still devastate communities, including many across North Carolina who lost loved ones.

“Through the National Days of Prayer and Remembrance, the North Carolina Democratic Party joins the rest of our country in honoring those who were lost. As our country builds back better, safer, and more united under President Biden and Vice President Harris’ leadership, we honor and remember the Americans we lost during the 9/11 attacks and their loved ones through prayer, contemplation, memorial services, the visiting of memorials, remembrance vigils, and additional appropriate ceremonies and activities. Their lives will never be forgotten.”
