The third video in a series of student testimonials was released today by the North Carolina Democratic Party (NCDP), highlighting the success of the American Rescue Plan and thanking President Biden for helping get North Carolina back on track amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The video emphasizes how vaccine accessibility is helping to resume in-person learning and students’ plans, including studying abroad. The student testimonial videos are being released daily throughout the week on NCDP’s Twitter.

Life is returning to normal for students and teens in North Carolina under President Biden’s leadership: 

• Since he took office, Biden has prioritized getting the pandemic under control and kids back to school.
  • In Guilford County, home to Bennett College, only five new coronavirus cases were reported yesterday.
• No thanks to a single Republican in Congress, nearly two million American kids under the age of 17 are vaccinated today due to ramped up testing and state-wide vaccine distribution programs funded by the American Rescue Plan.
• More North Carolina students across the state were able to celebrate key milestones this June as opposed to last, including in-person graduations and proms.
