Governor Cooper is set to address North Carolinians in his state of the state address tonight. NCDP Chair Bobbie Richardson released the following statement ahead of the speech: 

“Thanks to Governor Cooper’s leadership, North Carolina has weathered the pandemic and come together through some of the most unimaginable times. Now, our state has a unique opportunity to emerge stronger than ever. Tonight, North Carolinians will hear Governor Cooper’s blueprint for a shared recovery where every North Carolinians has opportunity, especially those who have been hit hardest by COVID-19. From strengthening our workforce, to providing job training and educational opportunities, expanding access to high-speed broadband, quality health care, and affordable housing, Governor Cooper will make sure no one is left off the path to recovery. Together, we can reach higher, invest in the people across our state, and have confidence that North Carolina’s best days are on the horizon.”
