As DC insider and Big Utility lobbyist Michael Whatley gets exposed for siding with data centers over North Carolinians to spike his stock portfolio and benefit his bottom line, Whatley can’t hide from his out-of-touch comments claiming the public backlash to data centers is “not organic.”   

Spectrum News: “Whatley, a former energy lobbyist, also has been on the defensive, facing criticism for comments he made in August during a Fox News podcast interview with Brian Kilmeade. Whatley said, ‘This opposition to data centers isn’t organic. This is being ginned up.’”

With up to $1.6 million invested in the data center industry, including Duke Energy, Whatley is lying and denying reality to continue to boost his bottom line.
