Our Digital Messages This Week đ
Happy Thanksgiving! đŠ
This Thanksgiving, weâre looking out at a movement that showed up in ways no one couldâve predicted â and we want to say, from the entire North Carolina Democratic Party, THANK YOU!
Coming off the heels of a devastating loss for our country, there were real questions about what 2025 would look like. Would folks still be ready to knock doors? Would volunteers still turn out? Would grassroots donors still give, even when times were tough?
True to North Carolina spirit, yâall did the damn thing.
In a typical off-year, our state party can afford a staff of 7 or 8. But thanks to thousands of small-dollar donors and supporters across the state and the country, we built a team of 25 â the third-largest in the nation. That investment mattered. It meant we could fend off Republican attacks on voters, defend Justice Allison Riggsâ victory to the NC Supreme Court, and help flip mayoral seats from red to blue in communities across North Carolina.
Through every challenge, every threat to democracy, every attempt to silence voters, you showed up. You rallied, canvassed, made calls, chipped in, organized, and proved once again that democracy is worth fighting for.
Because of your work, we didnât just weather 2025 â we won real victories. Now, we head into 2026 with momentum, community, and an army that knows exactly what weâre capable of when we stand together.
From all of us at NCDP: thank you for believing, thank you for fighting, and thank you for building a future worthy of every North Carolinian.
Voting Access đłïž
Last week, the Guilford County Board of Elections voted to remove NC A&Tâs on-campus early voting site â a decision that hits one of North Carolinaâs largest HBCUs right where it hurts: access.
For thousands of students, on-campus voting isnât a luxury, itâs a lifeline. Many donât have cars. Others balance classes, shifts, internships, and caregiving responsibilities. When you strip away a voting site students rely on, youâre not just relocating a poll â youâre moving the goalposts of democracy.
Letâs be clear: this isnât about âefficiencyâ or âprocess.â Itâs part of a long, well-documented pattern. For years, extremist Republicans have targeted HBCU students with voter suppression disguised as administrative decisions. They know that when young Black voters show up, they reshape elections. Instead of earning their votes, Republicans keep trying to make those votes harder to cast.
Removing NC A&Tâs site is just the latest move in that playbook â one that creates real, tangible barriers for students who deserve more access, not less.
While Republicans work to shrink the electorate, Democrats are working with local leaders, community partners, and students to expand it. Weâre pushing back, organizing, and fighting to ensure every Aggie â and every North Carolinian â has a clear, accessible path to the ballot box.
Shop Small đïž
This Saturday, November 29th, is Small Business Saturday â a day to celebrate and support the small businesses that keep our neighborhoods vibrant, creative, and connected.
As you check off your holiday shopping list, we encourage you to shop small. Pick up a gift from a local artisan, grab lunch at a neighborhood spot, or choose a locally owned store over a big-box checkout line. Every purchase you make helps support a family, sustain a dream, and keep money circulating right here in our communities.
On this day, and every day, letâs lift up the small businesses that lift up North Carolina. Shop local. Shop small.
Thatâs a wrap for this weekâs messaging!
We encourage you to take the content from this weekâs package and share it across your social media platforms. Remember, your voice has the power to start a movement! This is for you to use in your community, so COPY, PASTE, and SPREAD the word!
See yâall on the internet!

This Affiliated Organization will be critical to ensuring Democrats turn out up and down the ballot going into 2026, so that we can keep the supermajority broken in the General Assembly, flip the US Senate Seat BLUE with Governor Roy Cooper, and implement step 2 of taking back our Courts in North Carolina.
Day of Action Repair Canvass | December 13th (Multiple Time Slots)
This canvass is our chance to protect democracy at the door. Thousands of North Carolinians are on the NC Board of Elections âRegistration Repairâ list simply because their voter registration is missing an ID number. If we donât help them fix it now, they will be required to cast a provisional ballot next time they vote. This is a virtual canvass launch. At the start of your shift, you will join a Zoom for information and your list number.
