NCDP Statement on Resolution to Protect North Carolina’s Health Care

Raleigh – Today, House and Senate Democrats continued to call on the Trump Administration to end its assault on Americans’ health care, including protections for people with preexisting conditions, better maternity care, and allowing kids to stay on their parents’ plan until age 26, and to support resolutions calling for the Department of Justice to reverse its position in the Texas v. U.S. lawsuit. In response, NCDP spokesman Robert Howard released the following statement:

“If Thom Tillis is serious about protecting people with preexisting conditions, he’ll support this resolution and stop the attack on North Carolinians’ health care. Tillis has shown, however, that he’ll stand by President Trump at all costs, even if it means ripping away protections for North Carolinians with preexisting conditions, kicking kids off their parents’ health plans, and gutting maternity care access. Tillis and Washington Republicans will never stop attacking our health care, which is why North Carolina can’t trust Tillis with their families’ health.”
