NCDP Statement on Proposed Constitutional Amendment to Limit Judges to Two-Year Terms

RALEIGH, N.C. — NCDP Chairman Wayne Goodwin released the following statement in response to the proposed constitutional amendment to limit North Carolina’s judges to two-year terms.

“Legislative Republicans continue to reveal how little they respect our constitution, our constitutional checks and balances, and our state. Republicans in the General Assembly would rather threaten and browbeat judges than change their unconstitutional ways, and their contempt for an independent judicial branch should shock every North Carolina citizen.”
