As a part of the Wall Street Whatley campaign, a North Carolinian is blasting DC insider and Big Oil Lobbyist Michael Whatley for pushing for policies that boost his stock portfolio at the expense of North Carolina families.  

Eric, student in Huntersville: “As Big Oil Lobbyist Michael Whatley runs for US Senate here, here’s a few things you need to know: this guy only cares about enriching himself. He has been repeatedly caught pushing for policies that enrich himself […] For instance, as you and I pay more at the pump, Michael Whatley has made hundreds of thousands of dollars from his oil and gas stock portfolio.”

As North Carolina families pay record prices at the gas pump, “longtime oil lobbyist” Whatley has profited by as much as “$219,660.” Meanwhile, he has downplayed the war, calling it “not even a war,” and dismissed the sacrifice American service members have made – despite 13 troops killed and hundreds wounded.    

Whatley actively pushed for a bill that gave “a windfall to pharmaceutical companies,” spiking his half million-plus dollars invested in Big Pharma companies while North Carolina seniors face higher drug prices and out-of-pocket costs.
