NEW FROM AXIOS: Rising Grocery Prices Are “Only Going To Get Worse” After Michael Whatley Claimed “Grocery Prices Are Down”

New reporting from Axios warns that “the next grocery price shock could hit much harder — and much wider” as North Carolina families face soaring grocery costs. Meanwhile, DC insider Michael Whatley has repeatedly claimed that “grocery prices are down,” as he backed policies that have sent prices at the grocery store skyrocketing.

Axios: “America’s grocery squeeze has thus far been most painfully felt in a few expensive categories, like beef, coffee and chocolate. Now, the forces pushing up food prices are starting to pile up: expensive grain, soaring fertilizer and fuel, plus unpredictable weather and raging wars. Why it matters: The next grocery price shock could hit much harder — and much wider. […] There’s reason to believe it’s only going to get worse.”

Michael Whatley: “There is no inflation. Inflation has fallen off a cliff.”

Michael WhatleyThe fact is that inflation is down.”

Michael Whatley: “Grocery prices are down. I mean, it’s absolutely a fact.”

As families pay more at the grocery store because of Whatley’s policies, Whatley is profiting as his Big Oil stocks spike by hundreds of thousands of dollars after he pushed for the Iran War.
