Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle to Campaign for Senator Obama in Raleigh, Greenville, Goldsboro, and Wilmington
In a sign of the growing national importance of the North Carolina primary, Senator Barack Obama’s campaign today announced that Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle will campaign for Obama on Wednesday and Thursday. Doyle, one of the first governors in the nation to endorse Senator Obama, will highlight rising key economic or “pocketbook” issues facing middle class families.
Senator Obama’s victory in the February 19th Wisconsin primary showed his ability to win among voters of every age, gender and demographic group – as well as his appeal to Independents and Republicans that will be critical to carrying battleground states like Wisconsin and North Carolina in the general election.
On Wednesday, Doyle will campaign in Raleigh. On Thursday, Doyle will campaign in Greenville, Goldsboro, and Wilmington.
