The North Carolina Democratic Party has posted on its website, www.ncdp.org, a draft Delegate Selection and Affirmative Action Plan for a 30-day public comment period, ending April 23, 2007.

The Delegate Selection and Affirmative Action plan outlines how delegates from North Carolina will be chosen to the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver, CO.

Comments on the draft Plan should be submitted in writing to Mr. Kevin Smith, chair of the Delegate Selection and Affirmative Action Committee, at 220 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC 27603. Comments can also be submitted electronically on our webpage: http://www.ncdp.org/2008_NC_Delegate_Selection_DRAFT

Upon receipt of the comments and consideration by the Delegate Selection and Affirmative Action Committee at its next meeting on April 23, 2007, the plan will be considered at the State Executive Council meeting scheduled for April 26, 2007.
