NCDP Chairman David Parkers Statement on Tonights State of The Union Address
"Tonight, President Obama rolled out a bold and ambitious agenda to build a job-creating economy thats built to last - one where hard work pays, responsibility is rewarded, and everyone does their fair share and plays by the same rules, said David Parker, Chairman of the North Carolina Democratic Party. "This election is a make-or-break moment for the middle class and those trying to reach it. At stake is the very survival of the basic American promise that if you work hard, you can do well enough to raise a family, own a home and have a decent savings when you retire. It is my hope that the U.S. Congress will cast aside the destructive partisanship of the last few years and embrace a working relationship with this President--the future of our nation depends on it.
