In 2006, our united goals are great.

You and I live in a great State, with some of the finest universities and community colleges in the country, the largest network of State roads in the country, and an economy that is growing, despite the Bush presidency. But Republicans in North Carolina are threatening to turn back the clock, to a time when our schools were among the worst in the nation and our economy was stumbling along. That's why we must re-elect our Democratically controlled state legislature-we have to keep North Carolina moving forward. And, while we're at it, let's seize the chance to send a clear message to the Republicans in Washington, by picking up additional Congressional seats.

With your help we will succeed in all of our goals this year. This will be the year that Democrats turn back the kind of America that the Republicans have been selling for the last decade-a government with little accountability to its citizens, an agenda of misguided priorities, and a Republican majority drunk on power in Washington D.C.

We can't take this election for granted. Winning elections takes a unified effort from all Democrats. We cannot be successful without you.
