NCDP Third Vice Chair Tony McEwen
Tony McEwen, our 3rd Vice Chairman, has worked on behalf of the Democratic Party across North Carolina and the Democratic political spectrum.
He has served as President of the College Democrats of UNC-Wilmington, statewide President of the Young Democrats of North Carolina (2005-'07), and most recently served in western NC as 10th Congressional District Chairman, the youngest ever to be elected to such a position in the history of the state. Professionally, Tony has worked in a political capacity for the Democratic Leadership Council, the United Auto Workers, AFL-CIO, served on the staff of Congressman Mel Watt in Charlotte, and currently is on the staff of Congressman Mike McIntyre out of Wilmington as his Economic Development Director.
Tony sees his role as an advocate for youth involvement and advancement in the party and to support our grassroots activists in all corners of the state.
Tony is a graduate of UNC-Wilmington and is married to the former Jordan Drogos from Raleigh. His father is a native of Ashe County and mother is a native of Rowan County.
