MITT ROMNEY: CAREER POLITICIAN (VIDEO)

When’s a political career not a political career? For Mitt Romney, it’s when he says it isn’t. In an attempt to gloss over his record, Romney has recently started claiming that he’s not a career politician and hasn’t spent his life in politics.
The trouble with this statement? It simply isn’t true. He might not have always been a successful politician, but it wasn’t for a lack for trying.
For nearly the past two decades, Romney has been either been in political office or desperately running for one.
- In 1994, he ran for Senate and lost.
- In 2002, he ran for governor, won and spent four years in elected office.
- In 2008, he ran for president and lost.
- And now, he’s running for president. Again.
And it shouldn’t be startling that he’s trying to hide his record. In fact, this is just the most recent attempt by Romney to do that. Just a few weeks ago we learned that his staff erased work emails and purchased state hard drives in an attempt to delete anything unflattering from his time as governor. And when asked about it, Romney said, “And there has never been an administration that has provided to the opposition research team, or to the public, electronic communications.”
That’s an explanation only a politician could give. Remember, he’s running for office – again – for Pete’s sake.
