North Carolina Democratic Party Comes to Greensboro on Saturday

The North Carolina Democratic Party will hold its State Executive Committee meeting and annual Sanford-Hunt Dinner on Saturday, August 25 in Greensboro.

State Executive Committee members will consider a number of resolutions during the meeting, held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Koury Convention Center.

The Sanford-Hunt Dinner will follow shortly after at 5:30 at George K’s Restaurant, 2108 Cedar Fork Drive.

Both events are open to the press.

Inaugurated last year, the Sanford-Hunt Dinner celebrates the leadership and legacy of two of North Carolina’s great statesmen, Terry Sanford and Jim Hunt.

This year’s speakers include: Jim Hunt; Ed Turlington; Sen. Robert Morgan; Speaker Dan Blue; Secretary Betty McCain; Justice Willis Whichard; and Commissioner Carolyn Coleman.
