Shot and a chaser: Canceled Pearl Jam concert costs Raleigh hotels $60,000; McCrory on repeal: “Not going to happen”

The shot: The Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau reported today that rock band Pearl Jam’s  decision to cancel an upcoming concert in response to Gov. Pat McCrory’s discrimination law, HB2, will cost local hotels $60,000.

The chaser: In response to Democratic efforts today to repeal HB2, which has now cost North Carolina more than 1,750 jobs and more than $77 million in economic activity, Gov. McCrory said, “It’s not going to happen.”
