The North Carolina General Election is November 4th, 2008.

The last day to register to vote on election day: Oct. 10
Absentee Voting: Sep. 15 - Oct. 28
One Stop Absentee Voting: Oct. 16 - Nov. 1

You can register to vote and cast your absentee ballot at the same time during the Sep. 15th to Oct. 28 period at a One Stop Voting location.

In the general election votes can vote for the candidate of their choice regardless of their affiliation.
