- Democrats have once again invested in energy assistance programs for low income families.
- Senate Democrats led the way toward implementing key 9/11 Commission recommendations.
- Congress provided emergency funds that would have addressed National Guard equipment shortfalls.
- Democrats passed legislation to better secure American borders and transit systems.
